Girl's night
At least once a month, the ladies try to get together for dinner, movies or anything fun. This is a picture of one such outing. All of the ladies either play volleyball or a gf or wife of a guy that plays. It really is such a wonderful group of ladies!! This was SKIRTS only night.

We don't wear shoes in our house
You ask and ask them to take their shoes off when they enter the house, but they just don't listen.

Biltmore on Easter
On Easter, my father and I enjoyed the Biltmore house near Ashevillle, NC. We bought the yearly pass, in case anyone is interested. My favorite room was his bedroom with the windows open and the sheer white curtains blowing in the breeze. It was a beautiful day. I am adding some of the tulip pictures and one picture of a funky hangy ball.

Run Charleston, Run
On a bright and sunny Friday, Julia, Lynn and Jackie begin their adventure to Charleston for the Cooper River Bridge Run. This is a 10K run, amazingly over the Cooper River Bridge. We started the festivities at the Library, where Kari and JB joined us. They were visions in pink...Wait JB was wearing salmon.
We enjoyed dinner at the Southern Brewery, which is a lot like Blue Ridge in Greenville. Dinner was delicious and then it was off to bed.
At 6:30 we FINALLY awoke and rushed to get to the race. We walked two miles from our hotel to the start line. Lynn started in front with all the "cool" people and Julie and Jackie jumped in not much behind her.
We all finished the race, Lynn in 44 minutes, Jackie in 57 minutes and Julie in 64 minutes. I was proud of everyone and the race was over...or was it...
We then had a few beverages at the roof top bar at the square. Corona tastes real nice after 6 miles!!! I ran in to Nick there. It was awesome to see him. Apparently, Brent Stover was supposed to be around, but was no where to be found. Anyone who knows Brent will laugh at that. Never did see Brent.
After lunch at the Brick (which is a dive, but the food was grrrrreat), us chicks went to IOP for some sand volleyball. We actually played on the main court at the "Jammer". Lynn and Jackie, were the two crazies who actually went swimming in the ocean. I have decided to add surfing on my list of things to do...
After a shower, power nap, and dinner the "chicks" went for a night on the town. We started at Henry's (everyone always does) and wandered to Wet Willies. How we decided on Wet Willies is beyond me, but I actually had a good time. We started dancing and wanted more. Kari recommended we go to City Bar and boy was that a good idea.
We danced more, a whole lot more and when I came back from getting another drink, Lynn was wearing a captains hat.

The owners of the hat were a bunch of guys from Atlanta. We proceeded to dance and laugh with them to the end of the night. Much love guys!!!
Sunday morning it was breakfast at Vickery's and back to the beach for more volleyball and a little beach football, props to Nick's friend Ross for the football. We all learned that since I am an only child, I can throw but not catch. I am really bad!!
It was a super fun weekend and I am glad for all the memories made.

Hi Neighbor!
A couple weekends ago I played in a big southeast indoor volleyball tournament. For a group of girls that have not played together I think we did pretty well, with the exception of when the tsunami hit. This was one of the most fun times I have had in a while, on and off the court! The picture is the team. Some from Greenville, Charleston and Columbia.

5K
I ran my first 5k at the Reedy River Run in Greenville this past weekend. My time was 28:10, which is okay for me. Jodi ran too and we had so much fun. Halfway to the 10k. I have less than 1 month. I am scared. There are plenty of pictures on www.greenvilleonline.com so check it out.

2 additions
The other two activities are to take a relaxing vacation by myself (or Allison Hucks if you want to) and traveling to Europe this summer.
cha-cha-changes
This post is dedicated to the positive!!
So, if you didn't know my boyfriend of one year and I broke up about a month ago. Many people have the advice to "start seeing someone new, and very hot, that is the best way to get over someone." I don't like that advice. Apparently, that is the advice my ex is taking since he has been dating as much as possible. Look out Greenville! Ha, anyway I have set some goals. I wanted my friends to see these goals, and possibly add some suggestions and if you are truly my friends, help me achieve them.
1. Join a church
2. Compete in a mountain bike race (Olivia HELP!)
3. Shoot under 100 in golf (this may take a while!)
4. Win at least 2 sand volleyball tournaments this summer.
5. Run in Cooper Bridge Run
Any suggestions or words of encouragement would be stellar!

Your thoughts
I have a request. Selfish polling!!!
I have two questions for everyone. This is for fun, and mostly because I don't have anything else to blog about.
1. I am giving the Porsche Cayenne to my Pops. That means I get a new car.
a. Station Wagon
b. Small SUV
c. Car
d. Truck
e. Motorcycle with side car for Soda
All thoughts and experiences are appreciated and hybrid is not out of the question!
2. Going to get hair colored.
blonde, brown, red or anywhere in between.
I think I know what I want to do...but I want to hear opinions.

Climb on!
I have the coolest rec team anyone could ask for. Since we did not have volleyball league play this Wednesday, we went to Rocks and Ropes in Greenville for a little "team bonding". That place is great. Notice how short I look next to John Stamper! Ex Chicago Bear turned volleyball player = force to be seen!
